Today I’m smiling big because I finally got this "5-year service" certificate from Simply… even though we all know I’m quietly on year 9 😂 They say better late than never, right? I’m taking it anyway and I’m super proud of it. But more than anything, I want to dedicate this certificate, this little symbol yokubekezela to my late mother, Ma Dlomo Tamara Qwabi. Mama, you left us way too early, but the plans you put in place before you went… they still carry me. Every single step. From Mida School where I did C.A.T, to finding my feet with Computer Science at UWC, to that life-changing apprenticeship at Project Codex, all the way to sitting here today as a Senior Developer at Simply. Yonke iminyamgo eyavulekayo nazo zonke iinzima ezingazange zindophuleI feel your hand in it. You reached me from the grave and you still do. I thank the Lord for carrying me this far. This journey has changed my life in ways I never even dreamed of back then. And guys… I’m not done yet. Far from it. There’s still so much to learn, so much room to grow, and I’m excited for what’s coming. As I step into this new year I just want to pray: amanyange akuthi andithwale, ndifezekise iminqweno yawo kubomi bam nakwi khaya lam. Camagu! 🙏🏾 (And yes… I’m keeping the certificate forever 😄)
